Vintage Chapbooks
Small, deliberate, elegant and very well considered, these publications were dedicated to the art of the book and designed ‘in the service of the word’. Each employs carefully considered paper, conscientious hand typesetting, illustrations commissioned or found to further the tone and attitude of the writing, hand sewing and binding – all parts of the hand made book process made these chapbooks collectibles.
Printed in 1975 at Dreadnaught, 20 pages plus paper cover. Hand-printed and sewn, the type is foundry Bulmer on Curtis Rag, featuring a 3 colour faceplate. Washington Irving (excerpted) - Soft Cover
