On a scale of 1 “not ready at all” to 10, “absolutely ready”, rate your organization’s readiness to transform obstacles into doorways:

Leadership Readiness
  • Are decision makers (those in power) ready to chart a new course?
  • Are the imperatives for change clear?
  • Have you identified the obstacles to continued success?
  • Are the knowledge, skills and experience to make a difference in place?
 
Strategic Direction
  • Can you name the strengths and opportunities present in your organization?
  • Are these corroborated by outside peers?
  • Have you scanned the environment for current and future impacts?
  • Do your customers and other stakeholders concur with your assessment?
 
Adaptive Organizational Structures
  • Are your people clear about why their work matters?
  • Does the organization have flexibility to change the way things are done?
  • How high is the level of trust in leadership?
  • Are the people processes linked to key success factors?
 
Measuring Success
  • Besides the end-game, profit or mandate, have you identified measures to gauge if you are heading in the right direction?
  • Are processes in place to monitor those measures?
  • Do you know what your clients or customers think of your services?
  • Do you know what milestones to set the stage for the next level of growth?
