Inclusive Crow - New organization identity in letterpress cards

We've heard that Inclusive Crow hand printed cards vanish from promotion tables almost instantly! Next in the development of this fledgling organization's identity? Inclusive Crow's CMS-enabled site – proposed for early 2010.  For more on the cards, see design notes.

New Kimbercote Logo

In Spring 2009 Someone began consulting with Kimbercote to rejuvenate the organization's brand. Connecting with, encouraging and including Kimbercote's far-flung membership through the creative process, was key to the success of the new logo for this expanding 50-year old organization. For the story behind the process, check out our Case Study.

Manulife Investments Financial Statements

These financial statements, reporting on the details of some 100 plus Segregated Funds, are produced twice a year, in two languages. All in all, the books run some 400 pages per language, per edition. The application of Someone's expert typographic design and masterful use of style sheets allow us to control all elements across these entire documents. A highly organized client group – plus our design team – managed by our time-saving processes and methods have enabled the client to benefit from cost reductions in every production cycle.

Simple Logic – Fidelity Investments Clearpath Statements

Designed by Someone for Simple Logic in Toronto, the design challenges presented when developing financial statements for mass production are increasingly significant when the document is to be customized for each recipient, populated with accurate updated totals and integrated into client-managed systems and databases. Opposites Attract – Broadsides for Nuit Blanche 2008

For the 2008 Nuit Blanche event in Toronto Someone opened our fine press and design studio doors, and produced an interactive, all night printing event. With original illustrations commissioned by contemporary artist Seth Scriver, the broadsides were printed from a combination of hand set wood and lead types, with photo polymer plates produced from scans of Seth's images. A future release as a collected folio is planned – for now though, you can find single copies in our store.

Aids Committee of Toronto – Dancers for Life

Before Someone, for five consecutive years, Deborah and her team worked with Cylla von Tiedeman to produce brilliant photography and design for all campaign materials for Dancers for Life. The exclusive gala dance extravaganza sponsored by Molson was very successful – a powerful benefit for the vital work of the Aids Committee of Toronto. As creative director and art director, Deborah's team produced fine book art collectibles for gala attendees.

National Arts Centre – marketing and promotions

Deborah and the team at Dreadnaught developed and produced designed materials for the National Arts Centre (NAC) over a period of several years. Shown here are an annual report, a logotype for the 1993-1994 Dance season, and a flyer from the same season. The NAC supports the arts and artists across Canada in myriad ways – it was a great honour to produce such high quality design for such an esteemed organization.
