Paula Virany is an innovative Director and Producer with 18 years of success producing, writing and directing television shows, cross-platform content, commercials and short format film projects. Her awards include: New York Festivals award for 'Best Reality Show Promotion' as Producer/Writer/Director and New York Festivals Award for 'Best Show Opening' as Producer/Writer/Director.

Paula possesses advanced expertise on the Line Producing (building and managing production teams – from conception to post-production management) and creative fronts, with a genuine flair for engaging stakeholders, audiences, performers and technical crews around a unique vision. She understands how to harness multi-media platforms to build a distinctive brand and excels in high-pressure environments that require exceptional problem solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Paula’s credits include: directing and line producing live television for the MuchMusicVideoAwards, live directing and line producing live broadcasts for Citytv, the science series 'How to Become an Astronaut' for TVO and 'Speakers Corner' for CItytv, Bravo! and MuchMusic. Her marketing and commercial directing client list include: Famous Players, Warner Brothers, The Blue Jays, L’Oreal, Labatts, Molson Canadian, and many more.

Paula Virany cut her teeth in the fast-paced world of live stage production, as a stage manager and administrator for Mirvish Productions, The Canadian Stage Company and the National Arts Centre where she managed projects in both official languages on the main stage and Atelier of the National Arts Centre, Ottawa.

Ms. Virany most recently wrapped her position as Production Manager of 'Le Projet de Tapisserie de la French Shore'.  For this multi-cultural documentary, Paula managed the French arm of production and set up locations and crew in France in the prestigious 'Musee de Bayeux', which houses the famous Norman Tapestry.

Paula currently has two cross-platform projects in development, spanning television, the Internet and mobile devices. Paula holds a B.A. with Honours from the University of Ottawa, with a double major in English literature and Theatre Arts.
