Susana understands the nuances of words as they cross cultural and linguistic boundaries, and she uses layout design to enhance the ideas.

Susana has a deep appreciation for science, environmentalism, architecture, poetry, languages and art, and expresses these interests through her work in graphic design, translation, and interpretation. Her extensive experience reaches back to her early design education in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and her familiarity with the language, culture, and environmental issues of Latin America and Canada.

Susana’s recent projects reflect her range of competencies. She has just finished editing and designing a book for a university in Mexico written by a group of environmental scientists who have been cleaning up contaminated soil and water in a mangrove swamp on the Coatzacoalcos River, on the shore of the Gulf of Mexico. Her translation of a book by the Jungian analyst Betty De Shong Meador, about the poetry of Enheduanna, Sumerian High Priestess at Ur 4300 years ago, has been published by the University of the City of Mexico as part of their Al Margen collection of important texts.

Ever the creative, she is now designing the graphics for books of art made by children who participate in ecology projects, plus a book about the clean up of soil contamination, while continuing her work at her painting studio, where she's about to finish two large portrait commissions.
